We are looking for an Oracle PL/SQL - Software Development Engineer to join our Shared Services team in Enterprise Engineering. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to learn new technologies and contribute to ongoing change at YBS.
At YBS we provide our Software Development Engineers with the learning tools required to develop and further themselves within their IT career. We also encourage and appreciate innovation - learn, deliver and enjoy working as part of a high performing team.
This is a hybrid role, a mix of working from home plus time in our central Leeds & Bradford offices.
About the role
As Software Development Engineer, you’ll design, develop, document, and create test automation of software and configuration that delivers value to YBS customers. You will -
Work on delivering change for our varied Shared Services technologies (e.g. Financial Crime, My Work Life, Core Customer, Complaints and other systems)
Maintain the running of our software including updates/upgrades
Contribute to high-quality engineering through code reviews, testing, and documentation
Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Architects, Analysts and Product Owners to perform impact analysis and estimation to shape solutions and delivery plans
Ensure solutions align with current and future architecture standards
Contribute to Incident resolution for our customers along with other BAU tasks
Adhere to Our Change Framework
About you
You’ll have hands-on experience of Oracle PL/ SQL. In addition, you’ll have -
Knowledge of Tuxedo/COBOL
Desirable skills include:
Experience of Java and Spring Boot
Experience working across multiple IT teams, collaborating with Change & Release, Architecture, Security, and Operations
Exposure to supporting NICE Actimize
Experience with Oracle Cloud
Exposure to Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
