About this role

As a Financial Crime Systems Product Owner, you will lead the development and management of financial crime prevention systems, ensuring they are effective and aligned with regulatory requirements. You'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization against financial crimes by implementing testing and assurance processes and ensuring that systems remain relevant and effective.

You will work have the opportunity to support a variety of projects as YBS continues with its exciting and plans to transform the way we do things and help us achieve our ambitions.

  • Lead Development: Drive the development of financial crime prevention systems by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and operations.
  • Product Strategy: Develop and maintain a clear product strategy and roadmap, aligning it with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • System Enhancement: Continuously assess and enhance system functionalities to stay ahead of emerging financial crime threats and regulatory changes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and effectiveness, using data analytics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, conducting regular testing and assessment.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with financial crime systems, developing contingency plans to address potential issues.

About You

Technical

  • Demonstrated senior-level expertise in driving change and leading teams to deliver high-quality process improvements within medium/large enterprises.
  • Proven senior-level experience working within Agile Scrum teams or similar frameworks.
  • In-depth understanding of Financial Crime and Fraud Prevention regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in implementing and managing financial crime and fraud prevention systems, e.g. sanction screening, transaction monitoring.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to interpret and act on data effectively.
  • Proficient in capturing detailed requirements and documenting them in tools like Jira for colleagues to work on.
  • Skilled in translating requirements into live implementations, working closely with design, editorial, development, and test teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FC processes and regulations.
  • Committed to continuous professional development to maintain and enhance skills and expertise
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
