Enterprise Architect Manager

We're looking for a Data & AI Enterprise Architect Manager to lead our Data and AI architecture strategy, ensuring technology decisions support our business ambitions, regulatory obligations and member outcomes. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll influence enterprise-wide change, shape future capabilities and lead a team of architects.

This is a hybrid role with remote working and some time in our central Leeds office & Bradford office.

About the Role

As our Data & AI Enterprise Architect Manager, you'll define the target architecture, standards and roadmaps that guide how Data and AI capabilities evolve across the Society.

You'll work closely with senior business and technology leaders to ensure investments align to strategic priorities, while simplifying our technology landscape and enabling innovation.

You will -

• Lead and develop a team of Solution and Domain Architects

• Own the Data & AI enterprise architecture, governance, standards and design patterns

• Shape strategic roadmaps aligned to our Corporate, Technology, Data, AI and Security strategies

• Drive consistency, re-use and simplification across our technology estate

• Provide architectural leadership on key change initiatives and technology investment decision

• Ensure solutions meet security, risk and regulatory requirements

• Influence senior stakeholders and champion best practice architecture across the Society

About You

You'll be an experienced architecture leader who can connect business strategy with technology direction, bringing clarity to complex challenges and inspiring others to deliver great outcomes.

You'll have -

• Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture or a similar strategic architecture leadership role

• TOGAF certification (or equivalent architecture qualification and experience)

• Strong expertise in Data and AI architecture and strategy

• Experience developing enterprise-wide roadmaps, standards and architectural governance

• A track record of aligning technology architecture to business objectives

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including at senior level

• Experience leading, coaching and developing architecture teams

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences

Desirable skills include -

• Experience within Financial Services or another regulated environment

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

• Experience of Agile and DevOps delivery

• Knowledge of modern integration, APIs, microservices and data technologies
