We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Engineering Team Manager (known internally as a Service Lead) to join our Enterprise Engineering team. The role will lead a team of Software Developers responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of YBS’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions and associated integrations. The role will also be responsible for YBS’s Robot Process Automation (RPA) capabilities.
We are currently on a transformation journey, and this role will be central to shaping how Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform are used to improve customer and colleague experiences, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, and well governed.

This is a hybrid role, where you can blend working from home, with office presence at either of our Leeds & Bradford Head offices.
About the role
The role is accountable for daytoday leadership of Developers, driving highquality delivery while ensuring platforms are well supported and aligned to business outcomes. You will
Lead and linemanage a team of Software Developers, setting clear priorities, supporting career development, and fostering a highperforming, inclusive team culture
Manage and lead engineering activity, ensuring delivery of software solutions in line with service levels, agreed standards, and regulatory expectations, including planning and prioritisation of development work, demand management and resource planning, oversight of change delivery into live environments & effective management of thirdparty delivery partners
Plan, organise, and develop robust support arrangements for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform services. There may be a future requirement for a 24/7 support model as the service grows to ensure timely resolution of incidents, problems, and defects. You’ll also be accountable for engineering change delivery across the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform estate
Drive continuous improvement, contributing to longerterm technical and delivery roadmaps and influencing the use of Dymanics365 and Power Platform capabilities across YBS
Provide technical leadership and assurance, ensuring engineering standards, quality, security, and resilience expectations are consistently met by the team providing ongoing team coaching and mentoring
Act as Deputy for the Software Engineering Manager as required
About you
You’ll have proven experience leading Software Development Engineers, within a Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform and RPA environment. What will you bring to the role?
A strong understanding of prioritisation, people engagement, cost/ risk management in a regulated environment
Experience in setting and assuring engineering standards, with a focus on quality, resilience, and technical excellence
Ability to balance people leadership with delivery accountability, improving how software services are built, supported, and evolved within YBS
Experience of budget planning and forecasting, supporting costeffective delivery and service management.
Strong communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for nontechnical audiences and build effective relationships across the business
Be a confident people leader, able to bring colleagues on the journey to new ways of working and technologies
Strong working knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and associated governance and development patterns.
Understanding of Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar tooling for work management, CI/CD, and deployment.
Experience leading teams delivering lowcode and/ or automation solutions, including RPA
