Lead customer data and analytics that shape better decisions for our members.

This is a brilliant opportunity to lead the development of customer data and analytics capability across YBS, helping teams turn insight into better decisions and better outcomes for members. You’ll shape how customer data is understood, used and trusted across the Customer Division, while leading a small team to deliver meaningful analysis, dashboards and tools. If you enjoy combining data, leadership and real business problem-solving, this role gives you the space to make a visible impact.

About the role

As our Customer Data & Analytics Lead, you’ll lead the development of customer data and analytics capability across the Customer Division, creating trusted insight that helps senior teams solve business problems and improve outcomes for members.

  • Shape and lead the roadmap for customer data and analytics, creating a more complete, consistent and trusted view of customer behaviour, performance and outcomes.

  • Lead and develop a small analytics team to deliver high-quality insight, reporting, dashboards and tools that help teams make better decisions.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the Customer Division to translate complex data into clear recommendations that improve planning, performance and member outcomes.

About you

We’re looking for a hands-on, curious and inclusive analytics leader who enjoys working with data, developing people and turning complex business questions into clear, practical insight.

  • Experience leading hands-on data, insight or analytics activity, with the ability to shape priorities and turn business questions into practical analysis, reporting or tools.

  • Strong technical confidence with data, reporting or visualisation tools, alongside the judgement to know what level of analysis is needed to support a decision.

  • A clear, inclusive communication style, with the ability to develop others and help non-technical stakeholders understand and use data confidently.

Ever since we started back in 1864, we’ve had a clear purpose – to do some good in our communities through helping people keep their savings safe. And helping everyone have a place to call home. Today, that purpose is still a huge part of who we are. And every one of our colleagues helps that happen.

We’re committed to volunteering our time, resources, skills and knowledge – more than 50% of colleagues contribute to thousands of volunteer hours every year. And our Charitable Foundation has now donated over £9 million to charities and good causes across the country.
