Love finding the story in data? Help us turn customer insight into better outcomes for our members as a Customer Data and Insights Analyst.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about using data to solve real business problems. You’ll work with customer data to uncover trends, build practical insight tools and help teams across YBS make clearer, better-informed decisions. If you enjoy asking good questions, turning complex information into simple stories and seeing your work make a difference, this role gives you the chance to do exactly that.
About the role
As a Customer Data & Analytics Consultant, you’ll help turn customer data into clear, trusted insight that supports planning, forecasting, performance management and better customer outcomes across the Customer Division.
Translate complex data into clear, practical recommendations that help stakeholders make informed business decisions.
Help build stronger data confidence across the Customer Division by improving reporting processes, data quality and self-service analytics tools.
Create and improve customer insight, reporting and dashboards that help teams understand performance, trends, risks and opportunities.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems with data and can turn analysis into insight that others can understand and act on. You don’t need to have followed one set career path what matters is your ability to think analytically, communicate clearly and keep learning.
Experience working with data to identify trends, answer business questions or improve decisions.
Confidence using analytical or visualisation tools such as Excel, Power BI or SQL; experience with Python, SAS or similar software would be useful too, but isn’t essential.
Ability to explain insight clearly to non-technical audiences, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to reliable, high-quality outputs.
A curious, collaborative mindset and an interest in helping others use data more confidently.
We welcome applications from people with different career paths and backgrounds, including those who have developed data skills through work experience, education, self-learning or career change.
Your work will help us understand our customers better and make decisions that support better outcomes for our members.

Our commitments to Community and Charity
Ever since we started back in 1864, we’ve had a clear purpose – to do some good in our communities through helping people keep their savings safe. And helping everyone have a place to call home. Today, that purpose is still a huge part of who we are. And every one of our colleagues helps that happen.
