Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role
As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will deliver, operate, and continuously improve the organisation’s Azure cloud platform, ensuring secure and scalable cloud capabilities.
- Build, manage, and enhance Azure foundational services and implement automation using tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, and GitOps to support platform engineering and operations
- Operate and maintain platform services including AKS clusters, observability tooling, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability, performance, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and technology teams to support platform adoption, embed best practices, and deliver secure, compliant cloud solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement by developing reusable modules, templates, and engineering patterns that support cloudnative delivery
- Troubleshoot complex platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and support incident reviews to improve platform stability and performance.
About you
You’ll be a skilled cloud engineer with a strong focus on platform engineering, automation, and secure cloud delivery within modern technology environments.
- Strong hands-on Azure engineering experience, including networking, IAM, policies, and cloud platform services
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tooling such as Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps approaches
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Solid understanding of SRE principles, observability, and operational best practices within cloud environments
- Security-first mindset with experience applying enterprise cloud security practices and governance controls
