Are you an experienced UX Designer who wants to help create better digital experiences for millions of customers?
At Yorkshire Building Society, we're delivering a major digital transformation across our web and mobile channels. We're looking for a talented UX Designer to join our growing multidisciplinary design team and help us create simple, intuitive and accessible experiences that make a real difference to our customers' lives.
You'll join an established User-Centred Design practice that includes UX Design, User Research, Service Design and Content Design. Together, we're shaping the future of YBS digital services and driving the adoption of inclusive, evidence-based design across the organisation.
This is an opportunity to work on large-scale digital journeys, influence strategic design decisions, and help build products and services used by millions of customers.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.
About the role
As a UX Designer, you'll work collaboratively across product, technology and design teams to solve complex customer and business problems through simple, intuitive digital experiences.
You will:
Turn complex customer and business requirements into clear, simple and engaging digital experiences
Design end-to-end experiences across web and mobile channels, from early concepts through to detailed UI design
Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity designs using Figma
Work closely with User Researchers, Service Designers, Content Designers, Product Managers and Developers to shape solutions that meet customer and business needs
Use research, usability testing, analytics and customer insight to inform and validate design decisions
Iterate quickly using a create, test and learn approach to continuously improve experiences
Work with and contribute to our Design System, helping drive consistency, accessibility and quality across our digital products
Champion inclusive and accessible design practices throughout the design process
Contribute to our growing design community and help build awareness and understanding of design across YBS
Please note: This is a hybrid role with a mixture of remote working and regular onsite attendance at our Leeds city centre office.

The ability to transform complex problems into simple, intuitive interactions and interfaces
A strong portfolio demonstrating your design process, thinking and outcomes
Excellent Figma skills, including prototyping and interaction design

Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology and Design
A strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles
