Do you have strong treasury finance knowledge? Do you enjoy detailed technical work with cross business collaboration? If so, we may have the role for you! We have an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Accountant to support a project that is focused on improving the interpretation and application of treasury related regulatory and accounting requirements within our regulatory returns and reporting processes.
This is an 8month fixed term contract from May, offering the opportunity to work in a specialist area and contribute to an important crossbusiness project.
This is a hybrid role, working from home along with one day per week in our central Leeds office.
About the role
As Treasury Accountant/ Specialist, you will -
Take detailed treasury related regulatory interpretations and apply them to regulatory returns, disclosures and internal reporting
Liaise across Treasury, Finance, Risk and other teams to gather, verify and interpret treasuryspecific data
Apply judgement to ensure that regulatory, accounting and internal policy requirements are reflected correctly
Review existing Treasury reporting processes and support enhancements to controls, methodologies and documentation
Provide technical insight to ensure the correct treatment of treasuryrelated items such as interest income, foreign exchange, group cash and intercompany funding
Maintain clear audit trails, working papers and documentation to support all technical interpretations and decisions
About you
What will you bring to the role?
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACT or equivalent)
Strong in IFRS understanding relevant to treasury products
Experienced in treasury finance within financial services, banking, or consultancy
Confident interpreting technical guidance and applying it to complex treasury data sets
Skilled at explaining technical matters clearly to nonspecialists
Comfortable engaging and collaborating with stakeholders across Treasury and Finance
Organised, methodical and detailfocused, with strong awareness of controls and documentation standards
