Role Overview:

We are a dynamic and forward-thinking team, committed to leveraging data to drive business success. We play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our Reporting and MI and enabling and supporting self-serve users across the business. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Reporting and MI Analyst to join our Reporting & MI Quality & Control team. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and quality of our data visualisations and reports. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in data visualisation, report/dashboard development using Business Objects, Tableau, and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and continuously improve reports and interactive dashboards utilising Business Objects, Tableau, and Power BI. Ensure these visualisations are user-friendly, accurate, and provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

  • Engage with different business areas to thoroughly understand their specific reporting needs and self-service capabilities. Conduct assessments to evaluate their requirements and skill levels, providing tailored guidance and support on effective data practices.

  • Facilitate the adoption of best practices in data visualisation and reporting, ensuring that each business area can independently generate and utilise reports to drive their strategic objectives.

  • Develop detailed training materials and user guides that cover the functionalities of visualisation tools and the best practices for data reporting. Ensure these resources are easily accessible and regularly updated to reflect any changes or new features.

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate business users on how to effectively use visualisation tools such as Business Objects, Tableau, and Power BI. Offer ongoing support to help users access and utilise available datasets for their reporting needs, promoting a culture of self-service.

  • Establish and maintain consistent reporting standards to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and uniformity across all departments. Regularly review and update these standards to align with industry best practices and organisational needs.

  • Draft clear and concise documentation outlining the reporting standards and best practices for the organisation. Ensure these guidelines are communicated effectively and adhered to by all areas to maintain high-quality reporting outputs.

  • Support business areas in embedding and utilising reporting standards and tools effectively. Provide tailored support and guidance to ensure these standards are effectively implemented and utilised, enhancing overall data-driven decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in data visualisation and report/dashboard development using Business Objects, Tableau, and Power BI.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to interact with various business areas and understand their needs.

  • Passion for data, reporting and MI Standards and continuous improvement.

  • Experience in creating user training guides and documentation.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
