We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Change Lead to join our team to oversee and coordinate data change initiatives, leading data delivery teams and other stakeholders in delivering high quality outcomes with appropriate planning, oversight and governance, to continually build and enhance data products to meet business needs.

About the role

As Data Change Lead you will be responsible for leading data change, leveraging appropriate delivery methodologies including Scrum to deliver quality data outcomes and benefits. You’ll have the opportunity to

  • Coordinate across a multi-disciplined team to ensure successful delivery of committed activities, overseeing delivery timescales and planning of concurrent deliverables
  • Use of appropriate tools to ensure effective planning and management of initiatives to provide visibility of progress
  • Conduct analysis and documentation of business requirements, use cases and user stories
  • Resolve issues and blockers and manage escalation of these in a timely manner
  • Organise and facilitate team ways of working, including running daily scrums, retrospectives, sprint reviews and sprint planning events
  • Define, track and communicate the benefits and value enabled through data deliverables


About you

You will have a broad knowledge of data & information landscapes and best practice and experience of data change initiatives. What will you bring to the role?

  • Proven track record of building solid relationships and networks, with ability to tailor interactions across different stakeholder groups

  • Experience in leading design and delivery of data change

  • Previous experience within an agile delivery team or similar environments

  • Knowledge of Scrum methodology and agile frameworks

  • Good understanding of and exposure to the general principles of project management and change delivery

  • Ability to translate complex information into clear business outcomes, with excellent verbal and written communication, gaining buy-in and influencing senior stakeholders

  • Flexibility, and the confidence and capability to tackle new tasks in sometimes unfamiliar areas

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to manage and resolve risk and competing/ conflicting priorities

  • Proven ability to lead by influence across matrix teams

  • Use of professional networks and external influencers with clear evidence of learning and development to build and maintain skills and expertise
