Performance & Optimisation Consultant

We're looking for a Performance & Optimisation Consultant to play a pivotal role in helping our Homes team perform at its best. This is a high impact position where as part of a centre of excellence, you'll turn complex data into meaningful insight, ensuring leaders have the right information, at the right time, to make informed decisions that improve performance, drive efficiencies, reduce costs and create capacity.

Working with the Homes Senior Leadership Team, you'll be at the heart of performance management, providing visibility of what matters most and identifying opportunities to continuously improve how we operate. The insight you provide will directly influence strategic and operational decision making across the function.

This is a key role in the Homes team. The work you do will have a direct impact on strategic decisions, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining data, insight and continuous improvement to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

About the Role

  • Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards and performance metrics aligned to Homes' strategy, priorities and objectives.

  • Deliver high quality management information and actionable insight to support decision-making across the business.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and create additional capacity, helping to drive performance improvements.

  • Lead the prioritisation and management of insight and reporting requests, ensuring focus remains on the highest-value activity.

  • Act as a trusted advisor on cost management, supporting operations, projects and business cases with robust analysis and recommendations.

  • Translate data into compelling stories and clear recommendations that influence senior stakeholders and drive action.

  • Collaborate with teams across Homes to embed a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based decision making.

About You

  • Experience building and delivering MI reports, performance dashboards and data visualisations.

  • Strong technical capability using Power BI, Tableau and Power Automate.

  • A track record of identifying operational improvement opportunities and supporting their implementation to deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into meaningful business insight.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering with senior leaders and balancing competing priorities.

  • Confidence influencing decision making and challenging constructively when required.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining quality and focus.

Our commitments to Community and Charity

Ever since we started back in 1864, we’ve had a clear purpose – to do some good in our communities through helping people keep their savings safe. And helping everyone have a place to call home. Today, that purpose is still a huge part of who we are. And every one of our colleagues helps that happen.

We’re committed to volunteering our time, resources, skills and knowledge – more than 50% of colleagues contribute to thousands of volunteer hours every year. And our Charitable Foundation has now donated over £9 million to charities and good causes across the country.
