About the role

You’ll help us manage our relationships with payment suppliers and sponsor banks, monitor how our services are performing and make sure we continue to meet payment scheme requirements.

  • Maintaining clear and accurate records relating to our payment schemes and suppliers.
  • Monitoring supplier service levels and supporting contract renewals and reviews.
  • Using data and management information to support supplier reviews, payment scheme monitoring and reporting.
  • Supporting the processing and checking of payments and charges relating to our payment suppliers.
  • Supporting the Payments Scheme & Supplier Manager and acting as their delegate when required.

The team work on a hybrid basis. There is a minimum requirement to be in the office 2 days per week and so you can blend working from home with an office presence.

About you

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Experience working in payments, banking, financial services, supplier management or a similar environment.
  • A good understanding of payment services and an interest in developing your knowledge of UK payment schemes and the wider payments industry.
  • Good analytical skills, with experience of reviewing information and data to identify trends, issues or areas requiring further investigation.
  • Experience of supporting operational teams, service management, change or continuous improvement activities.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a range of activities and priorities.
  • Good communication and relationship-management skills, with experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Our commitments to Community and Charity

Ever since we started back in 1864, we’ve had a clear purpose – to do some good in our communities through helping people keep their savings safe. And helping everyone have a place to call home. Today, that purpose is still a huge part of who we are. And every one of our colleagues helps that happen.

We’re committed to volunteering our time, resources, skills and knowledge – more than 50% of colleagues contribute to thousands of volunteer hours every year. And our Charitable Foundation has now donated over £9 million to charities and good causes across the country.
