Are you passionate about creating great technology experiences for colleagues? Do you have strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including emerging AI capabilities, audio visual technologies and digital experience platforms?

We're looking for an End User Experience Engineer to join our Technology Services team, helping to shape how colleagues collaborate, connect and work smarter through Microsoft 365, AI-enabled tools and modern workplace technology.

You'll play a key role in optimising our Microsoft 365 platform, supporting the adoption of SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams and AI-powered capabilities, while ensuring colleagues including senior leaders and executives receive a seamless technology experience every day. You'll support Microsoft Teams Rooms, Audio Visual services and business-critical events, provide high-quality executive and VIP support, and drive continuous improvement through automation, innovation, digital experience insights and proactive service enhancement.

This is a hybrid role with remote working and some onsite presence in our central Leeds and Bradford offices.

About the role

As an End User Experience Engineer, you will

  • Act as a Microsoft 365 subject matter expert, helping to optimise collaboration and AI-enabled capabilities across the organisation.

  • Support the introduction and adoption of new Microsoft 365 features, ensuring colleagues are ready to maximise their benefits

  • Investigate and resolve complex Microsoft platform issues, working closely with our managed service partners to identify root causes and drive improvements

  • Deliver high-quality executive technology support and provide technical leadership for key meetings and events

  • Develop and maintain processes, knowledge articles and operational documentation that enhance service quality and consistency.

  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve colleague experience through modern workplace technologies and intelligent workflows

About you

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder skills. You'll be comfortable supporting senior colleagues, communicating complex concepts clearly and remaining calm under pressure. In addition, you’ll bring

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including emerging AI capabilities

  • Experience assessing new technologies and translating them into practical adoption, training and readiness activities

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Knowledge of collaboration tools, meeting room technology and audio-visual solutions.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-profile environments

  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships through discretion and professionalism

  • It would be great if you also have experience with proactive experience monitoring, XLA frameworks, telemetry dashboards or workplace automation tools such as Power Automate

Our commitments to Community and Charity

Ever since we started back in 1864, we’ve had a clear purpose – to do some good in our communities through helping people keep their savings safe. And helping everyone have a place to call home. Today, that purpose is still a huge part of who we are. And every one of our colleagues helps that happen.

We’re committed to volunteering our time, resources, skills and knowledge – more than 50% of colleagues contribute to thousands of volunteer hours every year. And our Charitable Foundation has now donated over £9 million to charities and good causes across the country.
