Technical Accountant (12 month contract)

A rare opportunity has arisen in the Technical Accounting team for a Technical Accountant to take on the Society's IFRS 9 provisioning. This is a great opportunity to gain some invaluable experience of a very technical area of Finance

About the role

As the Technical Accountant you will:

Calculate and prepare monthly IFRS 9 provisioning for certain mortgage portfolios

Produce quarterly and annual reporting on the Society's provisioning

Work closely with Credit Risk and Modelling teams to ensure effective reporting and compliance with IFRS 9

Please note that this is a 12 month FTC. This is also a hybrid role; remote working with some onsite presence in our central Leeds office.

We can consider a minimum of 32 hours part time as well as full time applications

About you

To succeed in this role you will be:

A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

Highly numerate, intellectually strong and capable of digesting and interpreting technical information

Rigorous, methodical and well organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines
