People Services Specialist!

As our next People Services Specialist, you will join a fast paced team who support our colleagues with all people related activity across the colleague lifecycle from onboarding and pay to career progression and leaving us. In addition, you’ll have a great opportunity to apply your skills in supporting a progressive program of work as we continue transform our foundations. You will play a key part in the ongoing integration of Oracle Cloud HCM and Payroll, whilst supporting the development of self-service capability within the business.

About the Role

As part of the People Services function, you’ll act as the first point of contact for colleagues where digital channels are unavailable or where the query is too complex to be resolved through digital channels. You’ll provide answers to queries relating to People policies, processes and systems and execute transactions relating to the colleague lifecycle that are not available through self-service. As well as supporting our existing colleagues you’ll manage onboarding for new candidates joining YBS carrying out all the required pre-employment checks in line with the relevant regulatory and legislative guidance.

As a People Services Specialist, you’ll have an important role in delivering the desired service levels and colleague experience and you’ll have a deep focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

About You

To suceed in this role you will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills that enable you to build trust and put the colleague at the heart of the experience.

  • Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities.

  • Ability to spot process efficiencies and effect changes that benefit the business and colleagues.

  • Knowledge and experience of general HR practices.
