Head of Enterprise Risk Management

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to join our Risk team, reporting directly to our Chief Risk Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the (ERM) team at YBS, during a time of significant investment with the objective of enhancing all aspects of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to support the Society’s growth ambitions.

About the role

In this role you will be overseeing risk management policies and procedures, ensuring consistency with YBS strategy and risk appetite, fostering an enterprise-wide culture that supports appropriate risk awareness, behaviour, and judgments about risk.

You will be responsible for leading the current team to deliver our high quality BAU deliverables, as well leading on the transformation of the RMF. There will be a remit to grow and develop the capacity and capabilities to ensure that we have a high performing team for such a critical Risk Management role in the Society.

You will work closely with our Chief Risk Officer, supporting him on our wider enterprise-wide initiatives, as well as the ERM core objectives.

About you

You must have previous experience in Enterprise Risk Management or Operational Risk at a senior level who has led a high performing team.

You will have experience of delivering transformation and change.

Due to the level of this role you need to have previous experience presenting at exec level and regularly communicating with the regulator.
