An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Society's Balance Sheet Management team as the Senior Manager of Liquidity Management. This is a brand-new role and provides the opportunity to lead the development and embedding of the Society's Liquidity Management capabilities. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to shape a highly important area for the business. This team’s work led by the Senior Manager has the potential to shape the Society’s balance sheet trajectory as we deliver on our ambitious strategy to provide more members with ‘Real Help for Real Life,
About the role
Lead the Society’s liquidity risk management, with functional ownership of the Society’s liquidity risk policy, risk appetite setting and monitoring.
Accountable for all aspects of the Society’s internal liquidity reporting, analysis, forecasting and strategy.
Accountable for the delivery of the Society’s annual Internal Liquidity Assessment Process (ILAAP)
Responsible for liquidity regulatory reporting, ensuring that this is performed as part of a well-controlled process.
Coordinate the Society’s ALCO, including the production of MI and secretariat support.
Ensure the Society is iteratively improving its liquidity management capabilities, and on that basis define, develop, and deliver the priorities and plans for the liquidity management team.
Accountable for ensuring that stakeholders (incl. Board and the PRA) are adequately engaged in the Society’s liquidity position and management strategy.
Ensure the Society has the appropriate processes, controls, and capabilities to support robust liquidity management.
About you
A driven people leader who thrives on building and leading a high-performing technical team
Expert knowledge of liquidity risk management, including risk appetite setting and ILAAP production.
Excellent understanding of liquidity regulation and related regulatory reporting, including Pillar 3 disclosures.
Strong understanding of efficient process and control embedding and management.
Good knowledge of broader the Balance Sheet Management/Treasury discipline including capital, funding, stress testing and recovery and resolution.
