This is a hybrid role, where you can blend working from home, with office presence in our central Leeds office twice a week.


About the role


As Finance Business Partner - Propositions and Change, you’ll help to drive the commercial direction of the Society through the shape of its product ranges and the investments it makes in enhancing its trading operations. This is a unique opportunity to work with senior colleagues across multiple areas of the organisation. You will -


  • Actively advise, support, and challenge colleagues across the business in the identification, development, and prioritisation of new propositions and investment proposals.

  • Enable the business to make well-informed decisions leading to future growth, stability and providing value back to our members.

  • Provide insightful analysis, procedural rigour, and proactive communication to ensure financial and commercial opportunities and risks are properly captured, quantified, and understood by stakeholders.

  • Be empowered to develop and apply a broad yet specialised knowledge base across finance, balance sheet management, commercial product management, and business transformation.


About you


This is a business partnering role in the truest sense. You will have

  • Demonstrable experience working in a retail banking organisation, in either a Finance or Product Management capacity.

  • Experience of, and an aptitude for embedding yourself into a business and be great at influencing and advising your stakeholders.

  • Track record of using your commercial acumen to challenge and drive decision making and process improvements.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in using complex financial models and enjoy using data and insight to inform decision making.

  • CCAB-qualified status and/ or experience of performing dedicated Finance roles is desirable, but not essential for this position.
