Capital and Stress Testing Risk Oversight Manager

We have an opportunity in our Prudential Risk Oversight team for a full-time day rate contractor to join us as a Capital and Stress Testing Risk Oversight manager. The role will be responsible for providing 2nd line oversight of change projects within Stress Testing and Capital Management. This is a hybrid role; however, you would only need to be able to travel to our Leeds head office as required. There is no requirement to come into the office each week.

About the role

  • Support the business by providing 2nd Line of defence challenge and oversight over key capital and stress testing change projects

  • Provide expert challenge and technical advice on capital and stress testing regulatory requirements, including consultation papers, policy and guidance published by the PRA.

  • Provide oversight and guidance on Basel 3.1 implementation, bringing capital management expertise.

  • Provide oversight and risk-based challenge of Stress testing frameworks and associated process, policies, and controls to ensure that a robust change process is followed.

  • Leverage experience and technical knowledge to support the business in enhancing stress testing capability and to enable better strategic decision making.

About You

Strong regulatory capital and stress testing experience is a must for this role, whether that is through working in a banking institution, through consultancy and advisory work, or from working for the regulator.

The ability to work independently and to demonstrate having led on the implementation of regulatory change is also a requisite for the role.

Further, you will preferably have in-depth knowledge of Bank of England’s stress testing regime and experience in ACS stress testing and/or BES stress testing and be well versed in Basel 3.1 Capital regulation changes and impacts.
