About the role

Reporting to the Director of Mortgages, you’ll lead the identification, prioritisation and delivery of lending changes within YBS and be an effective and motivational leader in a growing team.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and broader teams across the Society to deliver a fully aligned mortgage change strategy that will compliment and deliver the strategic objectives of the business.

Acting as a centralised leader for lending change activity, you will bring clarity and commerciality to the change roadmap and engage with Executives, Directors and Senior Manager audience within mortgages, as well as broader teams. You’ also prepare board level business cases to drive change, and secure buy in to pursue opportunities that align with the strategy.

You will also be provided with the autonomy to look at things in a different way. You’ll be part of an established lending matrix change team, develop and enhance a strategic approach to sequencing change activity to maximise resource and budgets and importantly, look to innovate and challenge the way we do things at YBS.

About you

Alongside being an accomplished leader, you’ll need to be a great change manager, with experience in utilising distinct change methodologies to deliver results and maximise throughput. This will be coupled with experience in delivering robust and effective governance when it comes to change management.

While this is primarily a change role, it would be beneficial for you to have a good understanding of mortgages, financial services, markets and our competitors.

As well as this, you will be committed to developing your knowledge of the regulatory framework that surrounds this.
