Senior Manager Risk Framework

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Manager of Risk Framework to join our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, reporting directly to our Head of ERM. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide leadership and support on a range of activities, including completing the build, embedding, and continual improvement of our new Risk Management Framework and working with key stakeholders to progress a risk strategy and ambitious culture that enables the safe delivery of the Society’s growth ambitions at pace.

About the role

In this role you will lead the ongoing enterprise-wide enhancement, embedding and continual improvement of YBS’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework to ensure it drives consistent high-quality risk outcomes. You will work with key stakeholders across the Risk function and wider business to develop and deliver a risk strategy that is a key enabler of the YBS strategy. You will also work closely with People division to ensure YBS’s ambitious culture supports appropriate risk awareness, behaviours, and judgments about risk.

You will be responsible for leading teams of internal and external resource to deliver Risk Framework activities, including colleagues from the wider Risk function, first line business areas and our strategic delivery partners (where required). You will also influence and manage senior stakeholders to ensure improvements to our Risk Framework are consistently and effectively adopted by each business area.

You will work closely with our Head of Enterprise Risk, supporting them on wider enterprise risk initiatives, as well as the core Risk Transformation objectives.

About you

You must have subject matter expertise in Enterprise Risk Management, Frameworks, Strategy and Culture, together with a broad understanding of all aspects of risk management.

A mix of first and second-line experience is also desirable to ensure our risk management framework is engaging and easy for colleagues across the business to understand and apply.

Due to the level of this role you need to have previous experience presenting to senior management.
