We have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Regulated Sales and Distribution Risk (RSDR) team based at our Bradford office.
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will have overall responsibility for conducting customer outcome testing, and also operational assurance activity within first line risk, relating to mortgage and retail customers. You will be involved in the monitoring and reporting of the effectiveness of distribution activities to drive improvements for customers.
As activity continues to grow in our digital channels, assurance activity is key to ensure the relevant controls are in place to manage customer outcome risk.
If you have a strong assurance background, focused on customer outcome testing or related activity, and understanding of the mortgage and savings application process, this role could be for you.

About the Role
The Quality Assurance Specialist will...
- Independently complete customer outcome and operational testing for activities agreed within timescales.
- Carry out risk evaluations and thematic reviews to analyse risk and correctly identify appropriate remedial action required to support good customer outcomes.
- Conduct effective root cause analysis to support necessary improvements that feed into various business areas policies and process changes.
- Provide a strong consistent first line of defence approach for regulated and non-regulated products by collaborating work with the wider Regulated Sales and Distribution Risk team.
- Maintain individual competence as a Quality Assurance Specialist, ensuring the expectations of the relevant competence framework are achieved, alongside personal development to support expertise required for regulated roles.
- Ensure actions are effectively tracked to satisfactory resolution where remediation is required.
About You
- Experience of working in financial services and/or quality assurance experience.
- Subject Matter Expert in assessing risks in line with internal risk frameworks, policies and processes.
- Experience of working in a busy, customer driven environment where adherence to procedures is essential.
- Experience of working in a risk related role linked to digital channels.
- Strong attention to detail and strong communication skills, both verbally and written including being able to write comprehensive reports.
- Be CeMAP Qualified
