As a result of this we continue to grow and strengthen our position as one of the most trusted financial services providers in the UK, providing real help with real lives.
We are looking for a dedicated and technically strong Banking Book Market Risk Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join our Market Risk team within Treasury. This role will play a key part in ensuring that the Society’s regulatory interpretations, judgements and assumptions relating to Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) are robust, well-governed and consistently applied, with a particular focus on the IRRBB Supervisory Outlier Test (SOT).
Reporting to the Senior Manager and based at our Head Office in Leeds, you will be responsible for the review, documentation and governance uplift of IRRBB regulatory requirements, supporting accurate regulatory reporting and effective engagement with internal stakeholders and regulators.
This role is a 3 month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and challenge regulatory interpretations, judgements and assumptions (IJAs) underpinning the Society’s IRRBB framework, with particular focus on the complexities of the Supervisory Outlier Test (SOT).
- Assess alignment of IRRBB methodologies, assumptions and documentation with PRA and Basel IRRBB expectations, identifying gaps, weaknesses and required remediation.
- Support the governance, documentation and approval of IRRBB regulatory interpretations, ensuring they are robust, defensible and auditready.
- Act as a trusted IRRBB subject matter expert, providing effective challenge and advice to senior stakeholders across the finance function.
How You’ll Do It
- Educated to a least degree level.
- Strong technical knowledge of IRRBB regulatory reporting gained from within a UK retail-focussed financial services firm including the SOT.
- Experience reviewing and documenting regulatory interpretations, judgements and assumptions within a finance or treasury function.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to influence and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.

And help our colleagues get the most out of work, and take care of themselves, wherever they’re working.
Whether you’re in an office-based team or your team is spread across the country, you’ll have lots of chances to get together with your colleagues for those Moments that Matter – which are all about building wonderful relationships and strong bonds with your colleagues.
