Senior Internal Audit Manager - Finance, Prudential Risk & Credit Risk
As a Senior Internal Audit Manager reporting to our Chief Internal Audit Officer you will define and deliver efficient and effective independent assurance across the society. You will bring your strong audit and leadership experience to shape the future of Internal Audit.

About the Role
Manage relationships with key stakeholders (including Executives, external auditors and other assurance providers) that are challenging, constructive and professional, aiding the focus of audit activities.
Develop and deliver cost-effectively a risk-based audit strategy and approach to auditing areas of responsibility (divisional and risk aligned), including maintaining an up-to-date risk assessment of the control environment.
Develop and deliver robust, timely reporting to the Audit Committee and Executive opining on the adequacy of the internal control framework, the root causes and themes of issues and the risk culture.
Lead a team of Internal Audit Managers and Internal Audit Associates and oversee the use of external support where needed.
Represent the function at key governance forums (such as Asset and Liability Committee), providing robust challenge whilst preserving independence.
Strong knowledge of finance, credit and prudential risk management including areas such as capital, funding and liquidity, market and treasury risk.
Experience of developing and leading high performing teams and building an inclusive culture.
Excellent internal and external stakeholder management and influencing skills.
