Senior Manager Talent
Broad Gate Leeds (hybrid minimum one day per week in the office)
This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave

We’re looking for a Senior Manager Talent to set and lead our enterprisewide talent and skills strategy, ensuring we attract, develop and retain the capability and leadership needed to deliver our business strategy.
This is a highly visible, senior role with accountability across talent, succession, skills and capability, working closely with the Executive Committee and Board.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will:
- Set and lead YBS’s Talent & Skills Strategy, aligned to our business strategy, ensuring the Society has the capability and leadership required to succeed.
- Hold endtoend accountability for succession and talent pipelines, including senior and executive populations, providing clear insight, assurance and recommendations to ExCo and the Board.
- Own the governance and continual improvement of the Society-wide Skills Strategy ensuring it is effectively deployed through People Partners, Organisational Effectiveness and Talent Partners.
- Enable insightled talent decisions, setting the direction for workforce insights, talent tooling and external intelligence, translating data into targeted resourcing, learning and development interventions.
- Build futureready organisational capability, shaping enterprise approaches to learning, upskilling, reskilling, internal mobility and early careers.
- Lead an inclusive resourcing strategy that strengthens diversity, supports social mobility and contributes to YBS’s commitment as an inclusive employer.
- Act as a senior leader within the People & Culture leadership team, collaboratively shaping strategy and leading a team to deliver organisational priorities.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced, strategic talent leader who brings:
- Proven enterprise leadership experience, shaping and delivering organisationwide talent and capability strategies.
- Expertise across talent, succession, resourcing and capability frameworks, with the ability to translate organisational change into practical talent solutions.
- Strong collaborative ways of working and people leadership needs building out to align with the additional bullet above.
- Strong insightled decisionmaking skills, using workforce data, analytics and external intelligence to drive targeted interventions.
- Outstanding executive communication skills, able to distil complexity and facilitate highquality strategic discussions. ability to influence, challenge and partner effectively at executive level.
- Demonstrable understanding of regulatory expectations in financial services.
- Experience operating in the first line of defence, managing and escalating peoplecapability risks.
- A genuine commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion across all talent processes.
