Fraud Manager

As our Fraud Manager you’ll lead, develop and oversee the operational performance of the Fraud team to support the delivery of the society’s strategic priorities. You’ll join our Bradford based Financial Crime Function.

In this role, you’ll be required to lead the operational delivery across the Fraud team ensuring our SLA’s and quality targets are met and the team are set up effectively to allow them to deliver an exceptional customer/colleague experience.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring that Mortgage and Savings Fraud activity is effectively managed and that decisions are consistently applied and reflect the current economic situation and comply with the FCA and other regulatory regimes that are aligned to the current risk appetite.

A big part of this role is to collaborate with services across YBS to ensure that customers with potentially vulnerable circumstances are proactively identified and are supported to achieve fair outcomes in accordance to YBS policies.

What we’re looking for

• Recent previous fraud experience is essential.
• Knowledge and experience of both mortgage and savings products within a fraud control environment.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and engagement skills.
• In-depth knowledge of financial crime regulations and legislation for both Fraud and AML.
• Ability to motivate, lead and develop fraud functions and teams to a high performance.
• Proven ability to optimise and drive change whilst managing risk.
• Uphold corporate legal & regulatory responsibilities.
