We are excited to share an incredible opportunity for an AI Design Analyst to join our team in Data & AI. As our newest AI Design Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing business challenges, operational processes, data assets and system interaction to design AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable value.

This is a hybrid role with working from home plus some onsite presence in our Bradford & central Leeds offices.

About the role

Operating within the AI Centre of Enablement and AI Foundry delivery team, the role acts as the analytical and design bridges between business needs and the development of intelligent systems. This role will combine business analytics, data analysis, process design, and AI solution design to shape safe and effective AI capabilities.

You will-

  • Support the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence across internal operations and customer-facing services through structured analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Analyse business and operational challenges to identify opportunities where AI enabled solutions can enhance efficiency, decision making, or service delivery.
  • Define AI solution designs by producing clear functional, logical, and interaction designs that describe how AI capabilities will operate within business processes and systems.
  • Assess data readiness and AI feasibility by evaluating data availability, quality, and suitability for machine learning, large language models, and retrieval-based solutions.
  • Support AI experimentation and prototyping by analysing results, evaluating model behaviour, and refining solution designs based on evidence and feedback.
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders by facilitating workshops, translating technical concepts into business language, and ensuring shared understanding of AI solution outcomes.

About you

You will have-

  • Strong experience in business, process, system and data analysis.
  • Working knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, including large language models and retrieval-based systems.
  • Experience working with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Microsoft Graph.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns using Microsoft Graph, Power Platform, and business applications.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational support of AI systems.
  • The ability to translate complex problems into clear designs and requirements.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Community and Charity

Ever since we started back in 1864, we’ve had a clear purpose – to do some good in our communities through helping people keep their savings safe. And helping everyone have a place to call home. Today, that purpose is still a huge part of who we are. And every one of our colleagues helps that happen.

We’re committed to volunteering our time, resources, skills and knowledge – more than 50% of colleagues contribute to thousands of volunteer hours every year. And our Charitable Foundation has now donated over £9 million to charities and good causes across the country.

Our ways of working

Colleague smiling at phone in the office

We know there’s no single right way of working that fits everyone. That’s why we’re not trying to find one. Instead, we’re doing everything we can to make sure that when we’re working flexibly, together and apart, we’re working at our best. And help our colleagues get the most out of work, and take care of themselves, wherever they’re working.

Whether you’re in an office-based team or your team is spread across the country, you’ll have lots of chances to get together with your colleagues for those Moments that Matter – which are all about building wonderful relationships and strong bonds with your colleagues.
