We’re always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience, improve efficiency, and explore new ideas. And as we embark on an exciting digital transformation, the future is full of possibilitiesfor us and for you.

About the Role

  • Communicate confidently across multiple channels, including in-branch, over the phone, and online, to support members with their accounts.
  • Focus on doing what’s right for our memberswithout the pressure of sales targets.

Each YBS branch has its own unique character and strengths, making every location a special place to work. Here’s what the hiring manager says about our Lowestoft Branch.

“Lowestoft is a small branch in a seaside town with easy access from a number of transport links. We are passionate about supporting your onboarding journey to service our customers’ needs and requirements through multiple channels, including face to face , on line and over the telephone. There is a large variation of daily task from counter transactions, savings meetings, digital support as well as in and outbound calls ensuring we deliver a truly customer centric service.

As well as day to day tasks and activities, we strongly support individual personal growth and development in knowledge, skill and behavioural areas, and also support colleague succession and progression for those who aspire to.

There will be opportunities to be able to both engage and work in other branches, and there will be a requirement to work between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, as well as with others outside of your branch team who are also on boarding, as well as the wider business.”

Our commitments to Community and Charity

Ever since we started back in 1864, we’ve had a clear purpose – to do some good in our communities through helping people keep their savings safe. And helping everyone have a place to call home. Today, that purpose is still a huge part of who we are. And every one of our colleagues helps that happen.

We’re committed to volunteering our time, resources, skills and knowledge – more than 50% of colleagues contribute to thousands of volunteer hours every year. And our Charitable Foundation has now donated over £9 million to charities and good causes across the country.
