We’re looking for a Financial Crime Systems & MI Support Specialist, to join our team in Bradford. The team are the driving force behind the Financial Crime MI, ensuring MI requirements are understood and refined, before developing the code that delivers the MI that measures, monitors and controls the FC systems & Operations, as well as undertaking the trend and investigative analysis to inform stakeholders as to the ‘so what’.
This role will be based in our Bradford based Head Office, with flexible working from home capability.
About the role / what you’ll be doing:
- A key resource in the production, creation and presentation of MI
- Co-ordinating activities to ensure MI is delivered to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner
- Triage queries and requirements, working with requestors / stakeholders to refine and remove ambiguity, so that the MI ‘exam question’ is accurately delivered
- Develop accurate reporting that proactively outlines outcomes and deliverables and makes them transparent to internal and external stakeholders
- Determine the required data structure, documenting approach and development of FC MI control library for consistency, transparency and cross-skilling for future development
- Develop a good understanding of the financial crime risks and typologies relevant to YBS
About you:
- A proactive mindset with a passion for providing MI for data driven solutions and Operational processes
- Analytical & problem-solving skills, data analysis experience, investigative, and risk assessment capabilities, including articulating the “so what” from the MI / analysis
- Use data driven reporting, monitoring, controls and benchmarking across solutions and operations processes, to identify best practice and outliers, identifying opportunities for efficiency, forecasting, service, scalability, reducing cost and risk
- Effective communication, engagement skills and the management of internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Experience SAS / SQL / Python or R for dealing with complex data sets / large sets of data
- An understanding of the financial services industry, markets and competitors is a bonus (not essential)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance, corporate governance and risk management (not essential).
