We have an exciting opportunity to join the Data & AI Strategy, Policy and Partnerships Team in the Data & AI Function, as a Data Business Partner.

The team are dedicated to driving value through strategic data partnerships. Influencing and improving organisational effectiveness through leveraging better data-driven insights. The team are central to the development of a new approach to data products, to create enterprise data assets which enable the business to access the right data with trust and confidence, working with business domains to identify priority use cases for the data product roadmap and modern platform adoption.

About the role

As a Data Business Partner, you will have the opportunity to drive the roll-out and adoption of the YBS Data Strategy, working closely with business teams and leaders to understand their challenges and opportunities, shaping and delivering approaches to drive value from data, uplift data skills and oversee data outcomes across change initiatives, to build an enterprise view of data.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Rollout of the Data Strategy, continuously embedding, tailoring support and guidance to bring data to the centre of our organisational capabilities from operational to analytics.
  • Support investment cases with clear data-enabling outcomes and connecting the enterprise view of data.
  • Proactively manage the flow of data change and measure outcomes across data domains, driving readiness and effective use of data, building relationships with wider technical teams including Architecture and Engineering.
  • Lead our data skills agenda to uplift capability across the organisation, through our Data Academy and Communities of Practice, driving great data citizenship across our colleagues.

About you

You will have a broad knowledge of Data & Information landscapes and best practice operating models including people, process, and technology. What will you bring to the role?

  • Keen interest in data and the endless possibilities that can be harnessed from it when done well
  • Proven experience leading delivery of change initiatives, ownership of scope, measuring outcomes and a passion for ensuring the right results for the end users
  • Proven track record of building solid relationships and networks, with ability to tailor interactions across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Knowledge and application of the YBS change lifecycle and ability to utilise various change methodologies
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to manage and resolve risks and competing/conflicting priorities
  • Proven ability to lead by influence across matrix teams
  • Adaptable to challenges and changes, ability to keep calm through to achieve the right outcomes
