Are you passionate about helping organisations successfully adopt and embed change? Do you enjoy bringing people together, influencing stakeholders and ensuring change delivers real benefits?

We're looking for a Business Readiness Manager to join our Change Delivery team. In this role, you'll ensure change is not only delivered, but successfully adopted, embedded and sustained across the Society. You'll act as the bridge between change delivery and operational reality.

Working closely with delivery teams, business stakeholders, People Change Managers and our Change Network, you'll assess impacts, identify risks and ensure readiness activities are completed to support safe and controlled implementation.

This is a hybrid role, a mix of working from home plus time in our central Leeds office.

About the role

As a Business Readiness Manager, you’ll work within a Delivery Squad and assess business impacts, manage readiness risks, challenge where needed, and provide the confidence that change can be implemented safely and effectively. You will -

  • Lead end-to-end business readiness for change initiatives

  • Assess impacts across people, processes, operations and capacity

  • Develop and deliver readiness plans, including training, communications and deployment activities

  • Manage change impacts, dependencies and readiness risks

  • Support safe, evidence-based go-live decision making

  • Drive successful adoption, embedding and benefits realisation

About you

You'll be an experienced change, business readiness or project professional with a passion for helping people and teams successfully navigate change. You’ll bring

  • Experience leading business readiness, change management or project delivery activities

  • A track record of supporting large-scale change or transformation programmes

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to challenge constructively

  • Experience assessing business impacts and translating complex requirements into practical action plans

  • Excellent planning, facilitation and communication skills

  • A collaborative, outcome-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset

  • Experience working within a regulated environment and an understanding of areas such as Consumer Duty, Operational Resilience or Conduct Risk would be advantageous

If you're passionate about making change work in practice, creating positive outcomes for colleagues and members, and influencing successful adoption across the business, we'd love to hear from you!

Our commitments to Community and Charity

Ever since we started back in 1864, we’ve had a clear purpose – to do some good in our communities through helping people keep their savings safe. And helping everyone have a place to call home. Today, that purpose is still a huge part of who we are. And every one of our colleagues helps that happen.

We’re committed to volunteering our time, resources, skills and knowledge – more than 50% of colleagues contribute to thousands of volunteer hours every year. And our Charitable Foundation has now donated over £9 million to charities and good causes across the country.
